[Ojo: no debe confundirse con 'de ahí que', que se usa para introducir la consecuencia de lo que se ha dicho antes].
-De aquí a allí hay un buen trecho — It's a long way/fair distance from here to there [Distancia literal]
-Del dicho al hecho hay un buen trecho — Easier said than done [Refrán; 'distancia' en sentido figurado]
