(así o) asá: adverbio de modo que se usa en la lengua coloquial, casi siempre en correlación con 'así', para expresar varias maneras indeterminadas de ser o de hacer algo. [También se escuchan las variantes 'asado' y 'asao'; véase también no sé qué no sé cuánto].
-Es un poco mandona, ¿no crees? «Ponlo así, agárralo asá. Tráelo para acá, llevalo para allá» — She's a bit of a bossyboots, don't you think? "Put it on this way/like this, hold it that way/like that. Bring it over here, take it over there" [Para expresar varias maneras indeterminadas de hacer algo]
-No quiero perder más el tiempo preguntándome si hubiera sido mejor hacerlo así o asá — I don't want to waste any more of my time wondering whether we would have been better off doing this, that or the other/ doing it such and such a way
-Cuando dicen que la Ley funciona así o asado, se les olvida una cosa importante — When they say that the law works like this or like that, they forget one important thing→Cuando dicen que la Ley funciona de tal o cual manera, ...
-Critican a sus vecinos por ser así o asao y luego ellos se comportan de la misma manera — They criticise their neighbours for being such and such a way, then they go and behave exactly the same way
-Lo mismo da así que/o asá — It's the same either way/ It makes no odds [Indiferencia; ≈da igual que se haga de este modo u otro]
