Remember: uno must be used in impersonal constructions when the verb is already pronominal. When a woman refers to herself indirectly, or to women in general, una is normally used (in Spain); but if she is referring to people in general, uno is the norm. In English, the generic 'you' is far more common in everyday conversation.
-Cuando uno se entera de que... — When one finds out/you find out that... [En España, podría ser una mujer hablando de la gente en general; en algunos países de Latinoamérica, se usa más 'uno' cuando una mujer se refiere a sí misma]
-Se cansa uno con estas cosas — One gets/you get tired of these things
-Cuando uno se dirige al trabajo... — When one heads to work...
-Uno se pasaba las mañanas... — One would spend the mornings...
-¿Cómo se siente uno al descubrir eso? — How does it feel to discover that? [Véase ¿qué se siente?]
-En aquel entonces una no se andaba con tonterías — In those days one didn't mess around [Las mujeres en general o quizá una mujer refiriéndose a sí misma de forma indirecta]
-Es que ya no no se puede una fiar de los hombres — You can't trust men anymore [Una mujer hablando, o quizá un hombre refiriéndose a las mujeres en general]
